XMLHttpRequest

XMLHttpRequest objects are at the core of JavaScript. Like any other object, XMLHttpRequest objects need to be created, prior to applying methods on them to send requests and process responses. Typically, the JavaScript code contains logic to create an instance of XMLHttpRequest using both the ActiveX technique for the IE browser as well as the native JavaScript object technique for other browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Netscape Navigator, and Opera.
